Construction team reviewing plans at a build site

Builder & contractor partnerships

We Work Alongside Your Team From Day One

Coastal Lifts partners with general contractors, custom home builders, and electricians throughout the Gulf Coast — from pre-construction planning through final inspection.

Your Lift Specialist on the Build Team

Installing a lift isn't a last-minute add-on. The best outcomes happen when Coastal Lifts is brought in early — during the design phase — so structural openings, electrical rough-ins, and load paths are planned correctly from the start.

We've worked alongside hundreds of contractors across Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama, and the Florida Panhandle. We know how to fit into your schedule, communicate clearly with your subs, and deliver a finished lift installation that passes inspection.

Our process

How We Work With Contractors

01

Early Planning Meeting

We meet with the GC and architect during the design phase to review lift placement, structural requirements, and shaft or opening dimensions — before a single board is cut.

02

Stamped Engineering Drawings

We provide stamped drawings from a licensed engineer for permit submission. These cover structural loads, shaft dimensions, electrical requirements, and code compliance — everything your building department needs.

03

Electrical Coordination

We work directly with your electrician to specify the correct circuit, disconnect location, and conduit routing before rough-in. No surprises at trim-out.

04

Framing & Opening Guidance

We provide detailed framing specs to your framing crew — header sizes, opening dimensions, and blocking requirements — so the rough opening is right the first time.

05

Installation at the Right Stage

We schedule our installation to fit your build sequence — typically after framing and electrical rough-in are complete and before finish work begins — minimizing disruption to your timeline.

06

Final Inspection & Project Closeout

We make sure the lift installation is complete, provide the necessary manufacturer documentation, and support the contractor through final inspection and project closeout.

What We Bring to the Project

Stamped Engineering Drawings

Permit-ready drawings sealed by a licensed engineer, covering structural loads, shaft dimensions, and electrical specifications.

Electrical Coordination

Direct coordination with your electrician on circuit sizing, disconnect placement, and conduit routing before rough-in is complete.

Framing Specifications

Detailed framing guides for your crew — header requirements, opening dimensions, blocking locations, and load path details.

Code & Permit Coordination

We provide lift specifications, manufacturer documentation, and project information needed to support your permitting process and help keep the project moving.

Flexible Scheduling

We coordinate our installation around your build schedule and communicate directly with your site super to avoid conflicts.
